We were honored to be a part of the first season of Love, Death + Robots and so excited to collaborate with our friends at Blur Studio.
They came to us with a beautifully cel-shaded 3D concept which naturally needed to be paired with 2D cel-animated fire, explosions, tracers, smoke, lasers, blood, guts and of course, tea steam.
We got right to work drawing frame by frame as their play blasts turned in to fully rendered 3D scenes with our 2D effects shooting up the place. We loved the collaborative workflow and seeing the worlds of 3D and 2D come together is something that always brings a tear to our eyes.
